New Project. Kinda.

It has been too long sinceI posted anything substantial. Probably because I got sidelined by life itself. But there's always some itch you cannot scratch fully. So, I sat down one day and let the itch take me someplace .

This is a new project. Something that could be the restart of a once shelved storyline I've had for ages. This will be the conduit for everything that could explain the Daluiong Story Arc. This series may or may not make it to Mang Jun Dayo's venture, so I'll just continue in this line of comics until the proper funds could be pooled to actually self-publish the whole caboodle before I die, ha ha ha!

Rediscover: Phantomanok

Phantomanok Sketch A Day 000

Phantomanok is an almost forgotten comics (komiks) series of my childhood. Published on Liwayway Magazine in the early 70s, written by Rodie Marte Metin and illustrated by Arem Cunanan  who, I fervently hope, to get in touch with to pay homage and maybe ask permission to base my character on, even the story.

I meant to do the studies on paper, like I always do. But since I do have this graphics tablet lying around, might as well use it and see what could turn up from scratch.

Gratitudes, for pointing me to the right direction, to Mr.Gerry Alanguilan  and  Mr. Randy Valiente  both distinguished artists whom I badgered for information. Visit their sites and be blown away!

Between Work and Personal Life

This was  a sketch I did for a game UI that didn't make it to production. Which is fine really, since I can still use this for my own. I'm into mixing some influences from steampunk, industrial machines and the coolness of  every game I have played when I was younger.

Don't worry about stuff we left off before, they will be continued in its own pace. I was busy for a while. But all things considered (referring to my other blog), I am now about to embark on one of my ambitious delusions of creating characters and the environment for a game. Some of the illustrations you've seen here may find it's way into the story.

Cryptids

Been busy. Work. Stuff you do to make a living.

Also, I am trying to scan old character designs and sketches for my story. These dragons are from our own Myth and Mythology.

Cryptids.

Long lost creatures that should be rediscovered. I have to get back to the National Library to dig up more about these wonderful creatures that time forgot. Or were taken out of the books.

The Roxymorrons In Pencil

The pencils are done!

Now I can continue with the album cover/concept art. I have something to work on. Usually, I would do a "turnaround" or front, back and both sides first for each member, but I did the sketch with the Vespa first so All I have to do is model each band member from this and continue with the cover art.

Which brings me to work on this first before I set out to continue all the other projects I set out to do, including the Elemental Babe.

The Roxymorrons Characters

[This is a mobile phone video]

I haven't done anything new with this blog , so far. Work does have a lot to do with it. And I have been wrangling with a big poster for these guys, sort of, and I can't seem to pin down the band riding on a Vespa. So I took some steps back and did the thing over again. Starting with the character design. And it worked.

So I guess before I finish the poster, this would have to come first. The characters cab be in each separate frame, and can change postions. I should color them separately, and maybe the guys can use them as avatars or something.

Anyway, the video is from my MyPhone and added a soundtrack. Too small huh? It'll do for now. it doesn't matter, the completed work will still be posted here so with a little patience, it'll be done soon.

HAve I told you these guys are good? I have some orgiginal music from the band, but I would not want to pre-empt their release, so the generic audio should fill in for a while. The link above should redirect you to their Facebook page.
